About Power of 100 Eagan

Power of 100 Movement Origins

The Power of 100 movementfirst became known as the 100

What if 100 people came together, each giving a modest amount, and collectively made a big impact on a local nonprofit—together?

The concept emerged from the growing giving-circle movement, where everyday people pool donations, learn about local needs, and decide together where funds should go.

Multiple hands joined together in a circle, symbolizing unity and support.

The Core Model

While each group, including the Power of 100 Eagan Women,

operates completely independently, most Power of 100

organizations follow the same basic structure:

  • 100 members
  • Each member donates $100
  • One nonprofit receives $10,000+ at each meeting
  • Members learn about, and vote on local charities
  • All funds stay local

Our Local History

Power of 100 Eagan Women began forming in 2025 when four community-minded women who were passionate about philanthropy and inspired by other Minnesota-based Power of 100 groups, recognized the power of collective giving and the opportunity to bring it to their own city of Eagan, Minnesota.

With early guidance and support from neighboring groups—including Rosemount, Hastings, Stillwater, and the Twin Cities—we began building a local organization grounded in shared purpose and community connection.
